Birthdays: always something special! Full of hope and expectations, they often seem to end in dissapointments. What's the big deal around it anyways? Just another reason to get together, have fun, get gifts, or simply just to celebrate??

It was my husband's Birthday on Thursday. And, I'm proud to admit, I don't think it ended dissapointing for him. We had some fun people over, played some spoons, laught all night, and just enjoyed life. Isn't that what Birthdays are all about? Just about enjoying life, and celebrating the fact of being alive? A lot of times, birthdays turn out to be more complicated that that. They end in quarrels, stress, tears, broken hopes and dreams, because of stinking expectations. It's all about what you make of it! Have fun and just enjoy. Allow yourself to be surprised, instead of always expecting, expecting and expecting!
